Joseph Honig of 779 Irving Ave., a retired jeweler, died yesterday at his home. He was born in Austria 66 years ago and had resided in Syracuse 50 years. Mr. Honig operated a jewelry store in S. Salina St. many years, retiring a year ago he was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Salt Springs Lodge, F. and A.M. and was active in Jewish Philanthropic Organizations. Mr. Honig also was member of the Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Honig; two daughters, Mrs. William N. Cardozo and Mrs. Amos Deinard both of Minneapolis, MN; and two brothers, Jacob Honig of Syracuse and Julius Honig of Elmira. Services will be conducted at the home at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon by Rabbi Irwin I. Hyman of Temple Adath Yeshurun. Burial will be in Jamesville Gate Cemetery.
