Rose (Slominsky) Hurwitz
Mrs. Rose Hurwitz of 926 Hazelwood Ave. died yesterday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. She was a Syracuse resident for 60 years. She was a member of Congregation Ahavath Achim Auxiliary and the Auxiliary of Congregation Chevra Shas, as well as the Independent Linas Hatzedek. She is survived by her son, Asher Hurwitz, a daughter, Mrs. Ernest Shapiro of Saratoga Springs; a brother, Morris Slominsky of Kfar Saba Israel; four grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services will be a 11 a.m. Sunday at Birnbaum Funeral Chapel, 1909 E. Fayette St. Burial will be in Linas Hatzedek Cemetery. Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Israel Emergency Fund.
