Services for Mrs. Anna Esterson Scharfeld, of 1320 E. Fayette St., who died yesterday morning in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Glazer, Buffalo, were conducted at 3:00 p.m. today in the Birnbaum Funeral Home. Dr. Irwin I Hyman and Cantor Harold Lerner of Temple Adath Yeshurun officiated. Burial was in Jamesville Gate Cemetery. Mrs. Scharfeld was a member of the Sisterhood of Temple Adath Yeshurun, Independent Linas Hatzedek; Onondaga Post 131 Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary; and Wives of Fellow Craft of Mt. Sinai Lodge. Survivors are her husband, Samuel Scharfeld of Syracuse; a son, Norman Esterson of N. Syracuse; a stepson, Abe Scharfeld of Cortland; and other Daughter, Mrs. Jess Olin of El Paso, TX; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Louis Goldstein and Miss Rae Scharfeld of Syracuse and Mrs Jessie Altman of Rochester, NY; three brothers, Abraham, Jacob and Charles Rizika, all of Utica; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Marcusfield of Utica and Mrs. William Scarl of Easton, PA; and three grandchildren.
